Through many years of designing main titles for television, I learned that tone is the secret language of story. Every show arc has a unique genius, an essential spirit waiting to be revealed, and changes in tone transform how we experience its introduction. Each title sequence taught me that distilling story into a core feeling reveals something important: atmosphere isn't just decoration but the fundamental force that brings a story's true spirit to life. This understanding translated directly to experience and spatial design, showing that whether crafting opening credits or physical environments, the same invisible architecture of tone shapes how we connect to place.
