Jer Thorp, an artist and writer in New York City, is known for designing the 9/11 Memorial algorithm. As the New York Times' first Data Artist in Residence and a National Geographic Explorer, he is a leading voice for ethical big data use. Jer's global exhibitions include MoMA and Times Square. He shares his work on The Brighton Park Birdsong Commons, a data sculpture in Cleveland co-designed with local students, exploring AI's role in enhancing habitats and fostering community connections.
