​Design I/O has been creating large scale, experimental interactive installations for over 15 years. Their work often starts quite experimental in nature, but through their iterative process and exploration it is transformed into something seamless, magical and completely new. 

​Co-Founder Theo Watson will share his approach to building interactive installations: from initial concept and prototypes, to the final experience. He will dive into novel techniques for experimental, full body interaction as well as approaches to support open exploration and inclusive design. 

​He will also talk about some of their recent work using AI models and ML techniques, sharing the pitfalls and moments of delight that come in developing experiences that live on the edge of the impossible.
