Finding Her Way Back to Art

Chelsi Cocking shares her personal path back into creative coding and media art through building the interactive installation Illuminate, which augments a person's movements in real time using custom-coded visualization software. Nominated for a 2024 SXSW Innovation Award and honored at the Webby and Core77 Design Awards, the piece reflects her interest in understanding the human body through computing. Cocking is a Digital Media PhD student at Georgia Tech.
